The Prime story

How it all began

Steve, our Managing Director, started his journey in an unexpected place, the police force. Back in 2010, while working as a police officer, he and his partner were looking to buy their first home together. But they quickly ran into a problem. The management of her building wasn’t working properly, which made it impossible to sell.

Not one to give up easily, Steve decided to take action. He set up a Right to Manage (RTM) company for the building and took the freeholder to tribunal after discovering that the service charges and insurance costs were sky high.

Armed with determination and joined only by his dad, Steve faced the freeholder and their legal team at the tribunal. Against all odds, he won. They secured the RTM and achieved a big reduction in service charges.

How it grew

That experience sparked an idea

Steve realised how many others were facing similar problems, so he started helping friends and colleagues in the police with their own RTM journeys. Word spread quickly, and what began as a one-off favour soon grew into something much bigger.

In 2017, Steve opened the company’s first office in Bromley at Devonshire House, just a single room with only him to start with. Before long, the team began to grow, and in 2018 Laura joined, marking the next step in the company’s journey.

Today, Steve continues to focus on providing a reliable, professional service and building a positive environment for both clients and team members. His goal is simple, to keep improving, keep learning, and help the company grow in the right way.
