Job Description
We are currently looking for an individual to be
appointed as a Service Charge Assistant within the
Accounts Team.
This role will support the wider service charge function by
ensuring billing, statutory filings, and key financial tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time. Please note this position is based in the Bromley office.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Raise service charge demands for all approved budgets across the service charge portfolio, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Bill all subsequent service charge charges throughout the year, supporting a proactive and structured billing process.
- Raise all ground rent billing in line with lease requirements and schedules.
- Bill year-end balancing charges and credits once accounts have been signed off, ensuring leaseholders receive clear and correct adjustments.
- File Company House accounts on time using Inform Direct, ensuring statutory compliance deadlines are consistently met.
- Process payment of corporation tax for companies when due, as instructed by the accountant.
- Support the Accounts Team by chasing directors and internal colleagues where required, helping cases progress efficiently and collaboratively.
- Set up general ledger (GL) codes for new sites, escalating more complex coding structures where necessary.
- Take ownership of allocated tasks, ensuring work is completed thoroughly and with care, reflecting the standards we would expect as homeowners ourselves.

- A good understanding of service charge accounting principles (desirable but not essential).
Salary -The starting salary for the role is £26,265. Progression within the band is assessed during the annual April review process.
